Fermi is a REST and MCP API that accepts natural-language questions and returns calibrated probability distributions, including distribution parameters, coverage intervals, point estimates, reasoning summaries, and assumptions. The Service is designed for use by AI agents and human developers as a decision-support tool.

2. Account Terms

2.1 Account Creation

You may create an account by making a POST request to the accounts endpoint. Account creation does not require an email address, password, or any personally identifiable information. Upon creation, you will receive an account_id and an API key.

2.2 API Key Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your API key. Your API key is shown once at creation and is stored only in hashed form thereafter. We cannot recover a lost API key. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your API key. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you believe your API key has been compromised.

2.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may request account deletion by contacting [email protected] with your account_id.

New accounts receive 3 starter credits at no charge. These credits are provided as-is with no guarantee of future availability or replenishment.

3.3 Anonymous Tier

Unauthenticated users may make 1 tier-1 estimate per day per IP address at no cost. This allowance may change at any time without notice.

3.4 Credit Expiration and Refunds

Credits do not expire under current policy, but we reserve the right to introduce expiration with reasonable notice. Credits consumed by completed requests are non-refundable. If a request fails due to a Service error after credits have been deducted, we will make reasonable efforts to restore the credits.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or algorithms of the Service
• Transmit malicious content, exploit payloads, or attempt to compromise the Service's infrastructure
• Resell or redistribute the Service without our prior written consent
• Use the Service in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair it, or interfere with any other party's use
• Use the Service to generate content that violates the acceptable use policies of our upstream LLM providers (Anthropic, OpenAI)

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its API design, documentation, and underlying algorithms, is the property of TriKro LLC. You retain ownership of the questions you submit and any data you create using the Service. We claim no ownership over your input questions or the specific estimates returned to you.

7. Limitation of Liability

We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. The Service may be subject to interruptions, including for maintenance, upgrades, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page.
